The Truth about Society Nicole Baer
One day you feel like you’re worth something
Then the next day you feel like you don’t exist.
The words that someone once said doesn’t mean anything to you anymore.
Those nice sweet words don’t mean shit.
They have faded in your memory and have drifted away just like that person that once said them.
They were apart of your life and now they are gone
Just because you showed them who you truly are.
Not wanting to be someone that you’re not.
Just to make them happy.
Having to hide who you actually are because in the dumb ass society it’s too easy to judge.
Just for looks, acts, images and personality.
They only see the flaws of you,
Nothing that you do that’s right.
So stop trying to be the fucking Barbie image that everyone wants you to be
Just show them who you truly are
Stop hiding your face behind the caked on makeup and the person that you’re not.
Stop trying to make everyone like you when you are not you.
The fact that young girls feel like they need to change, and starve to fit in this world.
This is why young girls feel like being skinny is a good thing.
This is why you got young girls that have slits on their wrists, hips, thighs, and arms.
The fact that girls don’t know who they truly are.
Girls having to change for someone to like them.
The crazy thing is that every girl wants to change to get a guy to like them.
The fact that society lets this happen without saying shit.
This is the thing that devastates me most is how most girls act who they truly aren’t.
