Why?
Why tell me everything is OK?
when it clearly isn't.
why lie to me?
Your little girl.
Your Princess.
Your Nena.
Your everything.
Why say it will get better soon?
when you and I know
it will never happen.
why tell me you’ll be there forever.
than walk out on my brother and I.
Why?
I ask myself that same question
Over and Over again.
And I still don't seem to understand Why?
Why the Fuck would
someone abandon
their child like that?
Who does that?
I use to think my daddy was the most important
man in my life but just like you
that thought left my mind years ago.
And you left me wondering with one thought.
I really liked this poem. I love how you had the strength and courage to share this with everyone.
