Empty, void, white, hollow, blank
an entire page to fill
to flow into
a barren landscape to transform
into a lush jungle of words, overflowing.
But here it rests,
in solitude without meaning, as
an empty page
a blank page
an incomplete page
missing what would give it purpose
a meaning to the otherwise meaningless.
It’s missing thoughts.
It’s missing words, expressions, sentences
the reflection of what we think
the physical embodiment of
emotions
memories
thoughts
as words on a page.
But that’s not there yet,
the page I must fill
the page I must fill with words
the page I must fill with meaning
with purpose.
Sits empty

I really like this poem! I love the imagery you installed in this poem. It's kind of a mysterious poem and I really liked the voice over. You are only referring to a blank page yet with such passion, you wrote about words, "to flow into

I wish i had thought of this for my poem. Good idea.
ReplyDeletevery creative, and the repetition really sticks in.
ReplyDeleteThis poem is so good!! The way you left the last line really helped for the message of what you are trying to say really sink in
