Love Is

Love Is...

Love is like the beach
Brilliant, bright, beautiful

Love is like the depths of the ocean
You never know when or where it is going to end

Love is like the sand
As you step into it you feel it soft,
Comforting and climbing into your toes

Love is like the crashing waves
Pounding down quickly and aggressively

Love is like the the sea shells
You cherish them for their natural beauty

Love is like the colorful fish
Unique, joyful and full of mystery

Love is like the salt water
If you dive in too quickly it can sting

Love is like the lifeguard
Trying to make sure no one gets hurt

Love is like the sun
Warm and radiant
But can burn if you aren’t careful

Love is anything and everything you make of it.

  3. Great use of sensory detail. I love the last line, saying how love can be warm and radiant, but burn you if you aren't careful

  4. This poem has a very good sense of detail and scenery. I like the part where you compared it with the beach, one of my favorite places to hang out. I also like your picture with the sea shells shaped like a heart
